Harriet Tubman iPhone Case, Plum, by Annette & Jon Fortt
Harriet Tubman, born a slave, became one of America's best-known abolitionists. She led about 70 slaves to freedom, helped John Brown plan his raid on Harpers Ferry, served as a Union scout during the Civil War, and late in life fought for women's voting rights.
This case design is based on a bookmark Annette Fortt created in the late 1980s. Jon and Annette collaborated to adapt it for this iPhone case, which pays tribute to Tubman's resilience and resolve. The text is a quote from Tubman: "I prayed to God to make me strong and able to fight, and that's what I've always prayed for ever since."
