Ankhesenamun and Tutankhamun, framed open-edition print, 11.25" X 14.52", by Annette Fortt
This compelling block print shows the Egyptian couple, King Tutankhamun and his wife Ankhesenamun. This depiction is inspired by the design of a box lid found in Tutankhamun's tomb; but the artist chose to reverse their stance in this presentation so that the queen is on the left. On the burial box lid, she is giving flowers to him; here, each has a gift for the other.
