Bearing Gifts

My visit to Ghana West Africa in 2007 was a planned visit but the candid shots that I captured such as these women arriving at the hospital, carrying their babies comfortably on their backs, to greet a new arrival could never have been planned. I was always fascinated by the vibrant colors and intricate patterns of these beautiful women's attire, and that was one of the things I focused on capturing in this pastel over watercolor image.
