Jonah

We often remember Jonah's rebellion and punishment but forget that God never abandoned him. In this collagraph, Jonah rests in the belly of the fish, which sits in the hand of God. The image is created in several steps. The blue background, the embossed fish, the linocut image of Jonah and the collagraph of the whale are all separate ink and print processes. There are slight differences in each print taken of these components resulting in an edition of 10 unique impressions.
