Monuments: the Jefferson

This linocut is the smaller of the series of four, not because it is less impressive but because the simplicity of design lends itself more easily to that format. For each of the four monuments I chose to include a flower that is found in the surrounding gardens. Because the Jefferson monument is so beautifully enhanced when they come into bloom, I chose the include them in the composition.
