The Red Door

This painting reveals a lot about the setting - the time of year, time of day, and location. Looking over the massive stone banister of the brownstone we get a peek into life in Bedford Styvesant Brooklyn in 1983 as the elderly woman moves toward the door of her apartment. She definitely won't miss the red door.
